Landscapes are the primary subject of my images. Many of the images I create are a response to the urbanization that has been occuring around me for years. Through the medium of oil paint I intend to preserve places that are constantly at risk of becoming new shopping centers and luxury town home subdivisions. I feel as if North Georgia is disappearing. In painting old, derilect properties I also aim to capture the beauty of mother nature as she takes back what is hers. Whether it be the decay of a man made object or simply a magnificent sunset trumping a concrete jungle, her resiliency is apparent.
